As you can see by the title im not one for valentines day, the most romantic thing that has happened to me today was getting a card from my mum, just love my life. The trouble to get this skirt was so ridiculous but i finally got it. I first ordered it on the netaporter sale and then they confirmed the order but didn't dispatched it and when i emailed them they said they canceled it and said there were none in stock. But i got a free delivery voucher out of it so even though i was annoyed £5 off my next shop wasn't so bad. Then out of chance i went back on the net a porter website a week later and the skirt had just appeared on the website again and it was reduced by even more and in my size and it was fate all for around £35. I love it now im hunting for one in black but since they don't make them anymore it may take a while.

ABOUT THE HAIR

So ive been asked by afew people what i do with my hair, its nothings special but here its goes.

I am a natural red head and I have never died my hair, my hair is naturally quite straight with afew waves but and is reasonably thick.

I tend to was my hair every three days as the more often you wash your hair the worse it is for it and also mine takes ages to dry. But i would also say that my hair get greasier quicker because of the hard london water whereas when im in other countries i don't necessarily have to wash it as often.

I mix and match shampoos because after i finish a bottle i always switch so my hair doesnt get used to it and begin to cause build up but one of my favourites is tommy gun volumising shampoo. I dont always use conditioner but now that its winter i tend to use it every time i wash my hair. I use purolgy essential repair conditioner which is amazing and i just put about the size of a 5p coin on the ends.

Ive been growing my hair out for the past two years, i cut it shoulder length about two years ago and although i liked it, it meant way more maintenance and i also didnt like it as soon as it began to grow out. So ive been growing it since.

I get at least an inch cut off my hair three times a year because even though ive been growing it i like it when my hairs healthy. I dont blowdry my hair as its extra damage and i only rarely straighten or curl it.

I use dry shampoo from tresseme if my hair is looking a little greasy i prefer it to the baptiste one as it is far less chalky and smells way better. When i use heat i use a kerastase Ciment Thermique or shu umeras texturizing spray but if you use to much it gets sticky.

So i'm not really sure what to make of this year other than its had major ups as well as downs. I always like new years as it feels like a bit of a fresh start, but i also like to end the year with a positive attitude because its not liek you can change anything only learn from your mistakes. I don't see the point in new years resolutions because in the end if you want to change something it shouldn't be because of the new year. But i think its always nice to review a year and look back and one thing Ive learnt at least by looking at these photos i should realy tidy my room before i take photos its kinda embarrassing If only i had a nice white wall but thanks to my rather large fireplace my room will have to do. Also ive noticed the older i get the faster years go so enjoying each moment is crucial. This next year is a big year in a lot of ways so ill see where it goes.

Oh my freaking gosh, guess who i met today... Emma Watson. I was at wagamama and annoyed with their shitty service and serving me raw chiken and i look up and emma watson is passing me to go to a table behind me i seriously started freaking out like my hands wee actually shaking but anyways when we finished we walked out abit before and decided to wait and as she walked out my friend and i just said hi and eventhough she was in ruch she was really nice and shook my hand and said it was nice to meet you. OMG i have loved her since i was like 5 and randomly at a restaurant i see her it could have been diffrent thanks to my friend being late which for once actually made my day way better. pictures from SA loved where we stayed there was such a great view of teh olephants river. We were out on safari in the morning when we had coats and blankets it was so cold especially with the wind then it would warm up to 30 degrees i wish england had the same concept in winter. My birthdays in less than a week and i have mocks next week. I havent been able to find a dress i have probley ordered about like 6 and none i particuarly liked and have been shopping numerous times so ill wear something i have problem is i dont realy wear dresses so ill probley end up wearing a skirt top combo. I went today in a last ditched atempt as i had a 15% discount at topshop but nada but i did buy a top and some boots which were planned.

SUMMING UP LFW

So generally i preferred LFW to NY i think the collections showed more cohesion, initiative and were a much more promising way for us to dress for summer. So i havent really commentated on NYFW, although there were pieces from some designers i loved i didnt particually love any collections as a whole so i have skipped onto my LFW favourites.

BURBERRY

Hats off or on to Christopher bailey who season after season surprises me with amazing collections which are different and inspiring but still stay true to burberry's aesthetic, i loved it all the hats the shoes the bags and the clothes with the clash of colours and slight tribal print, it could even be seen that he took into account that England never really has summer and the clothes are perfect to the equivalent we end up having.

CHRISTOPHER KANE

A sure change from the fluro filled plastic dresses, each season Christopher Kane has a new direction and concept whilst staying to his routes of silhouettes and dresses. One of my favourite of his collections in a while simple and elegant whilst edgy and cool.

Felder felder, a surprise to me whilst looking through style.com i love the a-line shapes, the movement and styling of this collection and the harnesses are a perfect accessory.

MATTHEW WILLIAMSON

Okay, so i realy loved this collection, the layed back pieces as well as the slight dressy whilst still casually cool ones. His choise of florals and colours work perfectly and i love the accessories and tassle belt which tie the pieces in together realy well.

9/11 even though i was about five when it happened i still remember the day coming down the stairs to my parents watching the news and i didn't quite understand what happened but as i got older i understood the event further and the many implications of it. Such a sad day with many innocent people effected. R.I.P to all the innocent people affected my heart is with those who lost family and friends.

you barely ever see me in jeans but whilst away i realized that i actually really like this pair, i realize im abit far back but the closer pictures were ridiculous my mum was making me laugh pretty hard so they didnt really come out, this was one of the coldest and rainy days so the big fabric scarf and parker were definatly needed

I'm so ready for the next school year new pencil case shoes and jumper... kidding im starting off year 11 with a back of biros and my converse good going Lia!
So tomorrow is a half day or for most of my year an 15 minute educational review but i am in for half the day as im a peer mentor so almost like a normal school day. For now im watching captain america enjoying chris evans.

So Finally the rocco has found a place in my wardrobe, having had my eye on it for about two years and in the mean time a year and half ago getting a copy to subside withdrawal until i finally saved enough for this beauty thanks to also seeing relatives in south africa and getting some money as well as working for my dad cataloging records (seriously he has too many they are his weakness) i had enough for it, also after about a year of the original not being made available it is again! Okay slight obsession with the bag but rightfully so

BAROK - Merle Payne

Whilst in south africa we went to visit Merle Payne who my mother has known for years and even made her wedding dress she has a brand called Barok which specializes in hand crafted flags, bags and intricate clothing and all around amazing pieces. Her work space for me was like an emporium there was piping buttons fabric along all walls and if that to me didn't capture my attention the work that was dotted around realy drew my attention and what realy makes it so special is the detail in each and every piece. When talking with her she mentions ho some of the detailing can take days and is done by hand on good quality fabric with good materials which seems to be something that is lacking within fashion and in general as everything is about high turnovers rather than paying your staff well and giving your customer items they will treasure and will last. At the moment her products are only available in south africa but hopefully she will have an online way to see and access her products as you don't see the quality that is in her products in shops anymore. I in the end didnt take picture of her products that came out well which sucks.

ONE DAY/ THE ROAD

I have had an amazing last few days seeing friends who have just come back from holidays. I also saw one day on Wednesday (thank you orange Wednesdays you make the exorbitant prices just that much better) i enjoyed the film but i think it mainly stemmed from my love of the book and story, which even though many people haven't been impressed i think the strength of the story carried it through and even though Anne Hathaway's accent wasn't amazing it didn't distract me from the story and Jim Sturges carried the whole story through and just as i did when i read the book i cried like a baby as did just about every other female in the cinema and as for the men they just looked down and tried not to look too bothered.

P.S: I JUST FINISHED READING CORMACK McCARTHYS THE ROAD AN AMAZING BOOK I REALLY LOVED IT AND IT WASNT A DIFFICULT READ BUT HAD A STRONG STORY WHICH IS QUITE TOUCHING, MY NEXT READ IS 1984 BY GEORGE ORWELL ANOTHER DYSTOPIAN BOOK.

All the other things were bough in South Africa there were some other things too but i haven't photographed them yet. I also bought graphite the other day iv'e been anticipating its release for a while now and in store there was the slight contemplation between it and peridot, but when i found out peridot would become a colour available all year round i went for graphite and i am obsessed!
