natalie off duty

so i decided i wanted to add another element to my blog so i decided i was going to do interviews with some of my favourite bloggers. So my first is natalie from natalieoffduty a model, who blogs in her spare time, with amazing outfits and has an amazing sense of style.

why did you decide you wanted to start your blog, i know you have mentioned that your sister got you into it, was there anything else that made you want to start a blog?
I've always had so much fun playing around with clothes, and I enjoy sharing with others what I wear and what inspires me. People would always tell me they love my style, so I thought, why not start a blog! Blogging has been a great way for me to share my love of fashion with others.

Your blog has grown so quickly, any advice for those who are starting out in the blogging world?
It's important to be yourself and not try to be like anyone else. If your blog is not original, no one will take notice. I've always wanted my blog to be very original and fresh.

where so you get your inspiration from?
Magazines. People I see on the street. Other models. I find inspiration in people that really know how to wear clothes, that can put anything on and make it their own. 

if you had a wardrobe filled of any one designer, who would it be or why?
Alexander Wang. All of his pieces are wearable and perfect for day and night. I'd have so much fun mixing and matching his stuff everyday! 

so you just turned 19, any favourite presents?
I just got tickets to Cirque Du Solei Kooza for tonight and I am so excited. I have always wanted to see one of their shows! It's such an awesome gift! 

if there was one person you could meet, who would it be and why? 
After seeing the documentary "This Is It", I really wish I could have met Michael Jackson when he was alive. He was so God-like and gifted. I mean, nobody can sing or dance like him. He was so unique (his style, his voice) and it's such a loss that he's gone. His music always makes me get up and dance. I've been listening to his songs my whole life and every single one has a good message. He just seemed to be a sweet, honest person. I just learned to moonwalk really good too! 

Do you think your modeling, influences the clothes you wear?
I do get inspired a lot on photoshoots. Sometimes the styling gives me an idea on how to wear something I have differently, and I'll go home and try it out.

who takes your pictures of your outfits for your blog?
Usually my sister. She's so awesome and takes great pictures! We have so much fun taking photos of one another.

If you look back at when you were younger is here anyone piece of clothing or shoes that would bring back lots of memories? like for me i had baby patent red doc martians.
I had these really awesome roller skates when I was a kid. Always brings back memories of me skating by the beach like a crazy person in Santa Monica. 

okay so this is just something i wanted to ask you, what was robert pattinsen like in person? i know its weird but i have been wondering ever since seeing the picture on your blog. 
I met him the night of the Oscars. He's very sweet and shy. Always a little slouched and reserved. He seems so calm and normal for a movie star. He's so good looking in person as well!
